sonamyforever asked: Why has SatAM got such a huge fandom? (not meaning to be rude, i'm just curious because i've never seen it before and only recently heard about it, and i grew up with Sonic X and Sonic Underground)
I think people just really like the characters and world-building, to be honest! It’s not better or worse than, say, Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog, which aired on weekdays at the same time — it was just different, and some kids just preferred SatAM’s style. The comic was spun off the same concept as SatAM, and it’s been very accepted among the Sonic fandom, as far as I’m aware. It was actually my first introduction to Sonic, I wasn’t aware of the games until I was already into SatAM! It hasn’t aged terribly well, but when I watch it back, I can appreciate it as an objectively good cartoon made by people who were really passionate about it.
